The hurricane season started early today as the first tropical system formed off of North Carolina. Dubbed Tropical Depression One, this system came days before the 1st of June when the season officially begins.
Tropical Depression One will likely become Tropical Storm Ana, according to National Hurricane center Projections. The storm is not a threat to land right now but will likely cause increased amounts of waves and wind across the Eastern Seaboard.
