The Boston Cecilia will be holding auditions for all vocal parts for the 2009-2010 season on: Monday, August 24 Monday, August 31 Wednesday, September 2 Sunday, September 13

The Boston Cecilia is one of America's oldest first rank choruses. This professional caliber, all-volunteer 50-voice chorus has an established reputation for period-instrument performances of baroque music as well as works by contemporary composers.

The 2009-2010 season will include:

Before, Brahms, and Beyond in collaboration with the choral ensemble Musica Sacra
Schütz: Selig Sind die Toten
Brahms: Ein Deutches Requiem
Whitacre: Sleep

Christmas in New England (and other places)
Featuring a revival of James Woodman’s “A Midwife’s Tale” – a 1996 commission of The Boston Cecilia

Comparing Geniuses – Haydn and Britten
Haydn: Missa brevis St. Joannis de Deo (Little Organ Mass) and Salve Regina in g minor
Britten: Cantata Misericordium and Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings
