PAMELA OLIVER is a native of DALLAS,TX; but, she was a military kid; so her family moved around from Texas, Michigan, Washington, California and Florida. She attended Niceville High School, in NICEVILLE,FL. In high school, PAM excelled in track, basketball and tennis. She attended and graduated from FLORIDA A&M UNIVERSITY, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in BROADCAST JOURNALISM in 1984.
Oliver's broadcasting career began at WALB in ALBANY,GA in 1985 as a news reporter. In 1986, Pam moved to WAAY-TV in HUNTSVILLE,AL. Then to WIVB-TV in BUFFALO,NY in 1988. In 1991 she began as a Sports Anchor at WTVT in TAMPA,FL; and continued at KHOU-TV in HOUSTON,TX. In 1993, Pam joined ESPN. She joined FOX in 1995 as a reporter at NFL games. In 2005, she joined TNT as a sideline reporter for NBA Playoffs coverage.
PAM OLIVER was featured in EBONY Magazine as their OUTSTANDING WOMAN in JOURNALISM in 2004.
