David Blaine's Central Park Upside Down Stunt

Morning setup for David Blaine's next stunt, The Dive of Death. Hanging upside down for three days. Media, film crew and security throughout the Wollman Rink.

Kiwibox reports:

Starting at 8:30 a.m. Monday morning, Blaine suspended himself 50 feet in the air for the next 60 hours, without food.

He won't be able to sleep, but Blaine will be able to have liquids and will also be fitted to a catheter. His finale will be live on ABC in a two hour special titled David Blaine: Dive of Death.

It's not all fun and games though. With a new stunt come new health obstacles, such as increased blood pressure, retina damage, stroke, and the possibility of going blind.

"The heart is centered pretty close to the head, so it does not have to pump blood very high," Blaine's personal physician Dr. Ronald Ruden said. "When you flip it around, though, the toes are four and a half feet from the heart. So the heart has to pump blood to a higher altitude than what it is used to."
