McCain On Meet The Press Objects To Reality Based Polls

John McCain during an interview on Meet the Press, said the race is very close. McCain added that he believes he will win the November 4th election. Meet the press viewers were surprised to see how McCain dismisses the polls and shows his faith waiting to see how the American people will speak on November 4th.

We just spent four years with a President who is unable to accept reality, who simply goes with his gut and let's the rest of the world suffer as a result. Who can forget his looking into Putin's soul, or the Iraqi WMDs, or Ahmed Chalibi?

Now we have another Republican, this one a "maverick", who is deciding that the fantasy-world in his head is much preferred to the one that the rest of the universe lives in:

"John McCain disputed the polls that show him trailing Barack Obama by double digits, saying that he would rather rely on his "senses" and is encouraged by the enthusiasm at his events."

Goodness gracious, but that's a terrifying statement. I can understand if there was some validity to it, but there's not one piece of evidence he can point to other than his own sense of reality.

Democrats, who are still worrying that the election may not be in the bag, at least can point to the number of new voters who aren't being polled and the folks with cellphones and no landline to suggest that polls are undercounting our support.

But all McCain has is faith. The same faith that gave us Sarah Palin after meeting her for the second time in his life.
