Laura White has been booted off X-Factor in a shocking result which left her in the bottom two acts to face the judges vote. Laura was sent home in favour of Spanish diva Ruth.
Simon Cowell admitted “I have no idea why you two girls are in the bottom two, something must have went terribly wrong tonight. You were not the worst singers tonight!”.
Laura may have received less votes from the public due to recent press coverage of her relationship with X-Factor executive. The Sun exposed Laura and her partner, Mathew Firsht which has caused issue with her participation in the show and her lauded ‘favourite’ status in the media. Judge Danni Minogue ealier this week had announced that Laura was HER favourite to win this years show over her own two acts.
Laura’s fellow contestant Ruth Lorenzo has struggled to gain votes, not being from this country and not having an area or ‘region’ rooting for her place.
Has Laura become a victim of the Moral Politics Brigade? Have the press had influence over public voting by raising questions about her to have a relationship with a show exec?
Surely the immoral thing here is that Laura White, arguable the most talented singer on the show has lost her place due to the press ‘politics’ about her private life?

For God's sake, who cares if she's with an executive from the show? Laura was clearly one of the most talented singers EVER on the X Factor and deserved to be safe from the bottom two this week...
And the same with Ruth, both have been consistent and have given impressive performances thoughout the competition.
But, oh no, people prefer sobbing stories about a guy who is endearing and lost his wife and is raising his daughter on his own, but who CANNOT sing at the same level of the other contestants.
This is a competition for the best singers, everyone, not for the ones who have struggled most in life.

I can't believe it! What an absolute Joke!! You ask around and everyone loves Laura i can honestly say i do not believe that people would choose not to vote for her just because the papers claim she is in relations with the shows Exec. You can't always believe what you read anyway. She had so much talent and that edge that made her different from the other girls. Seriously how can Daniel get through and she doesn't. Its obviously a fix put in place by the x factor producers to avoid bad press!! I'm gutted!

Amazing that Laura was in the bottom two, more amazing that Simon and Louis then tactically voted her off. The British Public is voting for someone who has no chance whatsoever (in Louis' words) of winning the competition.

Though Danny was much improved - still awful.
One final point - could you imagine a Spanish audience voting for a British contestant in preference to any Spanish contestant in a similar situation, let alone the judges!
