XM Radio, Sirius Combine Channels

Here are the first impressions of XM Radio and Sirius now with combined channels. What do you think?

The switch was finally thrown, and both sides of Sirius XM Radio Inc. now have a cross-pollinated music lineup.

So, what are your first impressions?

Now that XM Radio subscribers have access to Sirius programming like Radio Margaritaville, The Grateful Dead Channel, and The Foxxhole; and Sirius subscribers have access to XM programming like Theme Time Radio Hour, Artist Confidential and Tom Petty's Buried Treasure (among many others) - what are you initial impressions?

Digital Home comments on Sirius and XM Radio channel line up.

"As part of the rationalization, XM subscribers will be unhappy to learn they have lost favourites such as Lucy, Flight 26 Fungus, Beyond Jazz, Rhyme, The System, Viva and XM Exclusive but maybe happy to learn they will pick up former Sirius only stations such as E Street Radio, Margaritaville, Little Steven's Underground Garage, Elvis Radio Frank Sinatra and Metropolitan Opera Radio. Non music pickups on XM include The Foxxhole, Blue Collar Radio, Cosmo Radio, Catholic Channel, NPR Now and Doctor Radio.

"On the Sirius side of the ledger, Sirius subscribers may be unhappy to learn they have lost Movin' Easy, Punk, Sirius Disorder, The Strobe, Boombox, Backspin and Universo Latino but will pick up XM shows like Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio Hour, Tom Petty's Buried Treasure and Willie's Place along with the following new stations: 40's on 4, 90's on 9, The Loft, enlighten, BB King's Bluesville, Escape and Cinemagic."

#1 NOT HAPPY WITH THE SWITCH

I bought sirius radio over xm specifically for certain channels. As a person who sells satellite radio at work, originally the choice was simple (sirius). However now with the change I have lost all my favorite channels and presets: Boombox, Backspin, and The Punk channel. I guess it's back to burning cd's for me!

#2 CRAP! NO BOOMBOX

Loved boombox, thought that XM would get it, not that sirius would lose it. BAD BAD BAD

#3 sirius/xm

I'm very unhappy with the loss of Sirius Disorder. As a grown-up working musician it was the only chgannel that I listened to. I realize that "The Loft" may hit my demographic, but at first listen, it seems humorless and boring. This sucks.

#4 Classical stations?

Where can I find the former Classical stations (NY Plil., choral and opera) that used to be on 110,112.113? Miss them. WWM
