Holliday shoppers were terrified after a gunman shot an injured one person near Macy's department store in Westfield, Montgomery County. The store is located in the Wheaton Mall where the shooting happened. Indeed a sad situation two days before Christmas.

Apparently there are multiple suspects in the shopping mall shooting case.

According to Washington Post "A gunman shot two people outside the Westfield Mall in Wheaton this evening, then fired at a police officer as he fled through a crowded Macy's department store, authorities said.

"Neither the officer nor shoppers were believed to have been injured, said Montgomery County police Lt. Paul Starks. It was not immediately clear whether officers returned fire inside the store. Starks said the two who were shot were believed to have been in an altercation with the gunman outside the store."

"It is a shooting scene ... and it is two days before Christmas so traffic is tough anyway, and this just brings about some more challenges," Starks says to a local reporter VTOP.com.

Currently the Macy's store is closed and the Police has not yet released the description of the suspects.
