
Eldora Mountain Resort will not open today, reads the information on the ski resort's website. MyFox Colorado reports that there was a shooting today at Eldora Mountain resort, which is the cause of the resort being closed.
According to the Mountain NewsNet, a bomb squad has been called to the area of the 25 mile-marker along the Peak to Peak Highway. NewsNet reports that an officer was involved in a shooting after a traffic stop in the area and the highway is closed.
NewsNet reported at 8:30 a.m. that Eldora is closed and skiers are being turned away from the resort, writes The Daily Blogster.

"There was a shooting at the Eldora Mountain Resort in Boulder County Tuesday morning.
"The Boulder County Sheriff's Office said there was a chase following the shooting which ended south of Nederland and then a law enforcement officer was involved in a shooting. Reports indicated the officer involved shooting happened during a traffic stop south of Nederland in Boulder County."

At least two people are dead after an employee at Eldora Mountain Resort opened fire this morning on fellow employees and a Boulder County sheriff's deputy, police and witnesses said.
The incident began at 7:30 a.m., according to witnesses at the resort. An employee, who declined to give his name because he wasn't authorized to speak about the shooting, said a man employed as a lift operator came into a pumphouse at the resort and opened fire.
The shooter killed one man, a supervisor at the mountain resort, the witness said.
The suspect was chased down by a sheriff's deputy and killed in a fire fight a few miles away, Sheriff Joe Pelle said.
The Eldora ski resort is closed today and its not known if the Mountain Resort will open tomorrow. The police is currently interviewing the witnesses.
