John Travolta's 16-year-old son dead in Bahamas

My heart goes out to the family of John Travolta for the loss of his son Jett Travolta. Reuters and other news outlets are reporting that actor John Travolata's 16-year-old son, Jett, has died, reportedly from a seizure, while on vacation the family in the Bahamas. Jett apparently had a history of seizures. Our prayers to up for this family at this terribly sad time in their lives.

"Jett Travolta, 16, suffered a seizure at his family's vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island, Reuters quoted family attorney Michael Ossi as saying.

"Attempts were made to revive him but he died at the scene, Mr Ossi said."

The Examiner questions the role of Kawasaki Syndrome in Jett Travolta's death in an article titled "Did Kawasaki Syndrome cause Jett Travolta's fatal."

John Travolta and Kelly Preston have been subjected to a great deal of criticism over speculation that their son Jett had autism rather than a rare disorder called Kawasaki Syndrome as the couple insisted.

Yet when Jett died today at age 16 after a seizure in a Bahamas hotel, Kawasaki began to look like a possible culprit.

Complications of Kawasaki Syndrome include coronary artery dilations and aneurysms. It is a leading cause of acquired heart disease in the United States.
