NY TV Founder Muzzammil Hassan Beheads Wife Aasiya

Muzzammil Hassan is charged with second-degree murder after police found the decapitated body of his wife, Aasiya Hassan, at the Bridges TV station in the Buffalo suburb of Orchard Park, said Andrew Benz, Orchard Park's police chief, according to CNN.

The news network reports that Aasiya Hassan, Mussammil's already former wife had filed for divorce January 6, and police had responded to several domestic violence calls at the couple's home, Benz said.

"Hassan went directly to the police station after his wife's death and confessed to killing her, Benz told CNN. Benz declined to give further details.

"Attempts to reach an attorney for Hassan were unsuccessful, and his family didn't return calls from CNN."

Muzzammil Hassan was charged last Thursday and according to News Busters "the story has been almost completely boycotted here in the states."

Although the Associated Press reported this bizarre story early Friday evening, as did MSNBC.com, it received little attention outside of the state of New York.

Given the hatred of all other religions that is so prominent in the media today, just imagine if the owner of a television network extolling Judeo-Christian principles beheaded his wife.

Ironically, we read in the Mission Statement of the Bridges TV that "we seek to become a unifying force that can help people understand our diverse world through education and entertainment."

Sadly, this is what Mussammil Hassan was unsuccessful to achieve in his family life.
