Last night during the Daily Show it was Jon Stewart vs. investment "guru" Jim Cramer. Stewart grilled Cramer saying if I had only followed CNBC's advice I would have a Million dollars today, provided I had started with a hundred million dollars.
Down With Tyrrany has a good take on Stewart vs. Cramer.
"Last night Jon Stewart, a comedian, did more to uncover the complicity of corporate television in the grand theft of as much as one-fifth of the wealth of this country's inhabitants than anyone-- more than anyone Inside the Beltway, more than any Wall Street watchdogs, and more than any media watchdogs. I'd like to see every bankster in the country forced to appear with him for an hour. Let's hope Barney Frank, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi were watching. Yesterday, Cramer was preparing himself for the slaughter he was too lame to avoid. Tonight he came off like a beaten dog. If you think Stewart's been tough on Cramer and MSNBC before last night... forget it!"
Indeed forget it, see what Crooks and Liars report on Stewart vs. Cramer.
"Jon Stewart made Jim Cramer look like a wounded puppy tonight as the CNBC host joined The Daily Show after a full week of back-and-forth.
"It all started when Cramer got perturbed by a segment TDS did on CNBC's financial network (Jon Stewart Eviscerates CNBC and Rick Santelli ).
"He was so mad that he showed up on a bunch of NBC shows crying about the way he was portrayed. Stewart really just said what all of America wanted to say to Wall Street: F*&K You!"
Pretty dramatic, yet true isn't it?
