In a very unexpected turn of events the Austrian father Josef Fritzl who for decades raped and abused her daughter this morning pleaded guilty in the court.
Josef Fritzl pleaded guilty to all of the counts against him to the surprise of everyone including his own lawyer. The lawyer did not know that he was going to plead guilty.
However, Fritzl discussed the matters of guilt with a psychologist and pleaded guilty after hearing his own daughter's 11 hour long video testimony. Probably that made him to realize how much pain has he caused to her own daughter.
This morning the judge asked Josef Fritzl if he has anything to say. He said yes, "I plead guilty."
Currently I am reading some live opinions in Twitter and one of them says that Josef Fritzl's daughter was in the court today. Katriord writes to RT @BreakingNewsOn that "AP: Source familiar with Josef Fritzl incest trial confirms his daughter was in courtroom on Tuesday."
He pleaded guilty on all counts of charges including murder of one his own children from his daughter (the child passed away few days after the birth), incest and slavery. Fritzl said "I should have gotten help."
Now we just have to wait and see the sentencing. I guess the trial is over now. Joseph Fritzl is 74 years old. There has been speculations that he may sell his story to the publishing media to get finances to pay for his lawyer and his daughter.
