Obama Makes History On Jay Leno's Tonight Show

The president Barack Obama makes a history by being the first sitting president to appear on Jay Leno's Tonight Show. While he was a U.S. Senator Obama did appear on Jay Leno and Oprah Winfrey shows, but as a president not in a popular show.

What can one expect from president's discussions with Jay Leno tonight. I expect a discussion of March Madness between him and Jay Leno.

I think it's a good idea for Obama to appear on Jay Leno in the middle of a national crisis? Appearing on a Tonight Show is like giving a good hug and saying everything is going to be OK, good night.

Expect Obama to speak about the U.S. economy with Jay. We will find out and see how Leno reacts to the economy and Obama's views. This will be a casual way to sell the presidential economic plan to the people.

It will be interesting to see what Obama says during the Tonight Show about the AIG Bonuses.

Why is Obama doing the Jay Leno Show

According to Chicago Sun Times "While Obama will be doing two town halls in California - a state struggling with high unemployment and a state government funding crisis - Leno provides a "unique" audience, Gibbs said.

"We don't look at it as a process of demonstrating the president's sense of humor," Gibbs said, but rather a chance "to explain the economic situation we are in."

What president goes on the tonight's show?!?! Its all about publicity for him. Shouldn't he be in his office, I don't know, perhaps trying to save our free falling economy? Oh that's right, he is busy blaming everyone else.
