In what may be called a black day in the history of civil aviation as a plane full of children crashed in Montana a second plane crash report is coming now from Japan. Fedex cargo plane has crashed in Tokyo's Narita Airport in Japan killing two people.

The Japanese public broadcaster NHK World English is >reporting that that strong winds in the Tokyo area may have been the cause of the Fedex plane crash.

"A Federal Express cargo plane crashed and burst into flames during a landing attempt at Narita Airport on Monday morning, killing both the pilot and co-pilot.

"Strong winds were reported at the time of the accident.

"The plane crashed onto the runway just before 7 AM after failing to hold a landing position. The plane had flown in from Guangzhou, China. Both of the crew were from the United States.

"A low-pressure system has brought strong winds to the Tokyo area. A wind shear warning has been in effect in since Sunday night, calling for caution against winds that change velocities and directions suddenly."

According to Kyodo News "The MD-11 aircraft, Flight 80 from Guangzhou, China, was apparently whipped back up by strong winds when it landed at around 6:50 a.m., according to the Chiba prefectural police. Local firefighters were seen trying to extinguish the flames."
