The things have gone a bit quiet on the live webcast of the G-20 summit and the Downing 10 commentator gave us some facts about the G-20 nations and their economies.
The global leaders invited represent about 90% of global GNP.
They also represent about 80% of world trade.
The Group of 20 nations make up about two-thirds of the world's population.
Did you know there are actually 22 heads of state attending? It's the G20, + 2 other heads of state, as well as the Chair of the new Partnership for Africa's Development, Chair of the South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) plus the President of the EU Commission and the Chairman of the African Union Commission.
I am wondering though what would these people achieve and what agreements will be reached that can benefit the global stability and the world's poor.
