Binghamton Shooting Gunman Takes His Own Life

Reports are coming from Binghamton, NY that the gunman that has started the shooting is dead. However, it's not known if there were multiple gunmen. Apparently the gunman has parked the car on the street corner to block the building. That's how the authorities have tracked down the gunman and confirm that the Binghamton shooting gunman is dead. Police scanners in Binghamton NY confirm one gunman has taken his own life, all emergency vehicles except for ambulances have been released.

The authorities are saying there are still many unknowns about the Binghamton shooting. When a gunman is showing a victim on the window you don't know who is the good guy and who is the bad guy.

While they can't rule out if there are still no other gunmen they confirm the shooter is dead and are searching the building.

Binghamton is about 25 miles away from Syracuse and is home to one of the top universities in the nationa: the Binghamton University.

In fact Binghamton University has posted a message of warning on its website reading the following. "We are asking everyone to avoid areas of Main and Front St. in downtown Binghamton following an incident at the Civic Association. As a precautionary measure, University police were dispatched to the Downtown Center, which is a secure facility and not located near the scene of the incident."
