Obama Discusses Benefits of Lower Mortgage Rates

According to USA today, that tracks Obama Presidency says the President will meet a handful of homeowners who have already completed their mortgage refinance to learn about the benefits of the lower mortgage rates.

Among other issues meeting with the homeowners about the mortgage rates is the first item in Obama's morning schedule.

"President Obama this morning will host a round-table discussion at the White House about the benefits of lower mortgage interest rates. His guests, the White House says, will be a "handful of homeowners who have re-financed their homes" and benefited from the lower monthly payments. The event is supposed to get started at 9:30 a.m. ET."

Mortgage rates have come down in recent months allowing more people to take advantage of all time low mortgage rates by either applying to buy a new house or to refinance their mortgages.

Some people are taking advantage of the historically low mortgage rates by buying a new house or refinancing their mortgages, but as the loan rates keep coming down others are wondering if they got into refinancing too soon. It is hard to predict.
