About three months ago father and son Sargis and Arnak Ivanovs rented the building on 1542 Stallings Rd and completely remodeled it. Today it's Kavkaz, one of the best places to try Eastern European, Middle Eastern, Russian and Armenian favorite cuisines. As the Mediterranean Diet is making headlines with its healthy benefits Kavkaz can be the location to try the blessings of the Mediterranean cuisine.
The name Kavkaz comes from Russian pronunciation of the geographical location of Caucasus in far Eastern Mediterranean part of the world, north of Turkey and south of Russia. It's a place where countries are known for their rich culture and wonderful food.
In the review of this restaurant in South Charlotte we should stress that Kavkaz is a family owned restaurant and family oriented place. It welcomes families to celebrate their happy occasions, while enjoying tasteful Mediterranean food.
The Menu includes Sallads, Soups, varioups types of kabobs and special sandwiches. We reccomend to leave some place for the famous Baklava to taste with your post meal coffee.
The restaurant has only been open for a week and the owners tell me they see a healthy number of return visitors. Arnak told me "anyone who comes to Kavkaz not only tastes wonderful Mediterranean and Russian food, but also has great time as live music is occasionally provided for the guest." The peaceful location of the restaurant allows indoor and outdoor dying, especially during a time of the year when the weather is great and cooperative for outdoor dining. If you are a Charlotte resident you know that the wheather is mild in this mid-Atlantic state.
Kavkaz is located on 1542 Stallings Road, Stallings, NC 28104. It's just off of highway 485 and Independence. The restaurant is open from 10AM to 9PM Monday to Saturday and 12PM to 5PM on Sundays.
