With better than the average industry interest rates offered to personal bankers Ally Bank will get an advantage sending out a message that the waiting time is zero when you call the bank. Many bank customers are frustrated when calling the bank and waiting long time until they get a hold of a human representative on the other line of the phone.
In it's press release GMAC already says that. The new brand of GMAC Ally Bank promises leading bank rates, no teasers, 24-hour service. GMAC Chief Executive Officer Al de Molina says that the transition for the current GMAC customers to Ally Bank will be smooth and "seamless." GMAC hopes to build Ally Bank as a premier personal banking online location based ont he 90 years experience that their company and the representatives have.
Currently Ally Bank offers 2.8 percent interest rate for one year CD depositors and 2.25 percent interest rate for online savings accounts. It requires no minimum deposits, no monthly feed, no minimum balance and promises "no sneaky disclaimers."
Ally bank writes on it's page that this "means developing new products that give you more options, like our No Penalty CD that lets you withdraw your money if you need to. And it means keeping our promise that our rates will always be among the top. It’s just the right thing to do." It hopes with these radical approach to take the banking in a new direction.
