The fans of Palm Pre have the answer to the question they have been waiting for a long time about the release date of Palm Pre. Sprint just announced that Palm Pre release date and price.
Sprint, on its website, informs that the new release date of Palm Pre is June 6. Palm Pre price will be $199 after $100 mail-rebate and 2-year contract. The part about the price is rumored according to Engadget.
What is fan about Palm Pre is that this smartphone, according to Sprint, helps you to live in real time. It features a revolutionary Palm webOS that continuously updates multiple applications in real time.
While waiting for the Palm Pre release date to come, let's look at the technical specifications.
The operating system of Palm Pre is based on Palm webOS. Network specs include 3G EVDO Rev A. The Display is a 3.1inch touch screen with a vibrant 24-bit color 320-480 resolution HVGA display. The keyboard is a physical normal QWERTY Keyboard. I love this part because it allows you type fast when getting online. This is one thing that I find slow in iPhone. The Palm Pre Email option is Microsoft Outlook email with direct push technology POP3/MAP (Yahoo, Gmail, AOL, etc.). IM, SMS and MMS messaging systems are integrated.
Palm Pre has built-in GPS navigation system. Isn't this nice?
The users also have an option of Palm Touchstone effortlessly charging system. Sprint says simply place the Palm Pre on the Palm Touchstone harging dock accessory, which is sold separately, and magnets quickly align your phone in the correct position for charging. Charge your Palm Pre while you are checking your calendar or watching videos in portrait or landscape mode.
Tech analysts and observers are now watching iPhone's move that may come before the June 6 Palm Pre release date. We don't know how it will be. I read online that iPhone may even leak an information about an upcoming new version or an update, but we don't know. By the way, if you were offered the Palm Pre or the yet-to-be-annouced new iPhone this summer, which one would you take?
Update: In fact, iPhone new version specs and release date already leaked today. I did not know it would come this early as a response to Palm Pre.
