Bloggers are reflecting on the fact that Microsoft confirmed the rumors about Zune HD and Xbox. OQLZ.com writes: "First up, it seems the rumours were true: the Zune HD has just been made official by Microsoft, and it’s got an OLED screen with multitouch. Elsewhere in pocket gadgetry, a new Android phone, the HTC Lancaster, just leaked out. In gaming, Bioshock 2 got dated for later this year, and the new GTA IV DLC got named - it’s seriously inspired/outrageous - while in AV, Philips priced two sparkly new LCD HDTVs for next month in the 9604 series."
We went to read some live opinions about Zune HD and Xbox Live from Twitter and share some of the most interesting with our readers.
Rbushway writs that Zune HD is looking pretty hot! I wonder why the team can't seem to fit Marketplace so the whole word fits inside the screen? "Also, the resolution on the Zune HD is a bit disappointing. 480x272? Shouldn't a next-gen, "HD" device have a higher res than devices today?" Twits drub0y.
Some other writers comment that Zune HD success depends on how well Microsoft integrates it with Xbox Live. Currently, as we mentioned above, the Zune HD Xbox Live integration is only about music and not the videos. That's why there is the threat that if Apple comes up with HD iPod it may be a problem for Zune HD.

Xgamess.com comments on Zune HD. "So far it’s been confirmed that the Zune Marketplace will actually be replacing the Video Marketplace on Xbox Live. This is a bold step, linking the Zune HD and Xbox 360 in an almost symbiotic relationship. This is very similar to the steps Sony took to link the launch of Blu-Ray and the PS3 to push ahead the success of both."
