Did you know that Indiana leads the nation in Powerball winners with 36 as of January 2009? Maybe we should change the Indiana state bird to the Lucky Duck.

Indiana has now sold two of the top five jackpots ($314.3 million, fourth; and $295 million, fifth) in Powerball history.

The largest Hoosier Lotto jackpot ever won was $54.5 million. If you were to lay $54.5 million in one dollar bills end to end, it would stretch from Indiana all the way to London, England.

The first Hoosier Lottery ticket was sold on Friday 13th, in October of 1989 – what can we say, we felt lucky.

In April 1992, a ticket sold in Brazil, Indiana won the first-ever Powerball jackpot, sending the country of Brazil into a jealous rage.
