At first glance the postcard with a view of buildings and a tram in the link makes no intrigue.
In the note space of the postcard the following address is written: Azerbaijan, Nakhichevan, L. Tolstoy sq. then Gallery. Baku and Azerbaijan (written in Russian).
“Any Rostov resident looking at this postcard will state that Armenian Theatre of Nor Nakhichevan, constructed by Armenian architect Turpakhyan, / (Armenian Thaetre of Nakhijevan on Don) with the adjoining building of Armenian Maiden Gymnasium constructed in 1912 and belonging to Shildyans’ family is depicted on the postcard.
And suddenly in broad daylight the following record appears on the postcard at the azeri website: Azerbaijan, Nakhichevan, - the authors of the letter say. “What does it mean? Territorial claims towards Russia from Azerbaijan? - ask Rostov residents”
Here an important fact must also be taken into account. The image on the postcard indicates that the image is taken in the beginning of the 20-th century. The discussions at the website serve as exta evidence to the mentioned fact. And as our writers from Rostov notice, no trams were in the streets of Nakhichevan, for that period of time only donkeys served as means of transport in Nakhichevan.
