In anticipation of Miss Universe 2010 Winner: Here are some favorites

Everything is ready for tonight's Miss Universe 2010 beauty pageant in Last Vegas. While the fans of the show are anticipating the winner, many are questioning the favorites who may win tonight's contest. NBC will broadcast the show live at 9/8 Central time.

The 2010 Miss Universe actually marks the 59th edition of the show. It will be held at Mandalay Bay Events Center in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. At 9PM Eastern Time Bret Michaels and Natalie Morales will start hosting the show. Last year's winner Stefania Fernandez from Venezuela, will crown her successor at the conclusion of the pageant.

Philippines, Bolivia and Venezuela are among favorites to be the winner of 2010 Miss Universe pageant.

This evening there are 83 contestants competing for the beauty crown. Miss Philippines, Miss Bolivia and Miss Venezuela are among the favorites that the international media writes may win the contest. Miss France Malika Menard, according to some polls is not so misplaced either and may make a strong comeback from her position.

Currently, as of the morning of August 23, Miss Philippines' rating (Venus Raj) is 3.56, according to missuniverse.com, the official website of Miss Universe. Miss Bolivia Claudia Arce Lemaitre comes second in favorites' rating with 3.05 score. Marelisa Gibson, the Miss Venezula is the third favorite with 2.95 rating score.

these results may actually change as Miss Ireland and Miss Mexico are also among the top 20 favorites. Some media favorites say they may make a strong comeback in ratings by the end of the day as the show time nears and the media creates more buzz, raising the public awareness.

While other contestants such as Miss Ireland and some others stir controversy about the photo shotting, Antonenko may be one of the hiddent favorites that may actually be the winner or one of the top performers in the 2010 beauty pageant.
Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, where the pageant will be held this evening, is a 43-story hotel with everything luxury. MGM Resorts owns it. In fact, the floors of 35-39 are occupied by Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, and it is where the stars and celebrities are expected to stay.
