NY Times reports that iPhone 3.0 activation is hitting a "snag." iPhone 3.0 problems include getting a message which reads an error message stating that the "iphone activation server is unavailable."
iPhone users have flooded Twitter and other social media with their messages complaining about the iPhone 3.0 problems. Stino tweets having problems installing iphone OS 3.0. Anyone else getting 'activation server is temporarily unavailable?'
However, CNET writes that the reports about the iPhone 3.0 problems are "scattered." They are not across the board and not everyone is getting "activation server is temporarily unavailable." error message. For example bcarlton727 just Tweeted running iPhone 3.0. So far no problems. "Anyone have issues?"
Probably iPhone 3.0 problems and the "iPhone activation server is temporarily unavailable" message are related to WiFi issues. It could be the huge load that because of the WiFi issues Apple servers are not able to handle. However, this is not for sure.
I went to Apple's website to see if there may be any message about 3.0 OS problems, however, I could not find any information. This could be explained because of the fact that the problem is scattered, as reports CNET.
The free iPhone OS 3.0 Software Update includes some great new features, as well as all the features from previous updates. iPhone OS 3.0 also lets you run the next generation of iPhone apps, like peer-to-peer games1 and more. If you’ve never updated before, now is the perfect time.
