The captain of the Continental Airlines flight 61 from Brussels to Newark died this morning during the trans Atlantic flight. According to CNN, Continental Airlines confirms that one of its pilots died during a flight from Brussels and the plane is about to land in Newark around noon.
Two co-pilots and a present relief pilot are flying the plane and they just safely landed it in Newark, carrying their dead captain and 247 passenger.
It appears that the captain died from natural causes.
The pilot died Thursday aboard Continental Flight 61, and two co-pilots took over the Boeing 777 aircraft's controls, FAA spokesman Les Dorr told FOX News.
The plane with 247 passengers aboard was scheduled to make an emergency landing at Newark Liberty International Airport about noon EDT. It left Brussels at 9:45 a.m. local time, CBS News reported.

Our condoleances to the family of the Continental Airlines flight 61 captain. Bravo to the co-pilots for safely landing 247 passengers.
