Kazakhstan's PM Praises Armenian Banking System

Armenia sets an example for Kazakhstan in banking and financial systems, says the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.

Karim Masimov, the Prime minister of Kazakhstan has told “Armenpress” Agency that a number of measures implemented in the financial system of Kazakhstan have been taken from Armenian example. “Armenia has formed a stable financial and banking systems. Armenia's banking and financial systems successfully countered the first attacks of the global financial crisis," the kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov has noted.

Mr. Masimov has highly estimated the policy of the government of the Republic of Armenia in the sphere of small and medium business developments, mentioning hat Kazakhstan has much to take from that sphere as well. Moreover, he has expressed readiness to cooperate with Armenian partners.

According to the prime minister, working groups from the two states are currently exploring the corresponding spheres to launch a probable cooperation.

In fact Kazakhstan's economy is showing signs of recovery and is likely to achieve growth in the first half of the year, Prime Minister Karim Masimov said on Monday.
