As the 2009 Wimbledon tennis championship is getting near to conclusion one theory says why Andy Murray may be the winner of the 2009 Wimbledon Championship. Today, of course, the players have advanced to the Wimbledon Quarter Finals.

What I found interesting, is that how one blogger has come up with an eye theory that may predict who will be the winner of Wimbledon 2009. First let's look at the current situation on the courts.

  • Centre Court - A.Murray leads J.Ferrero 7-5 6-3 2-2
  • Court 1 - A.Roddick leads L.Hewitt 6-3 1-2
  • Court 2 - W.Moodie/D.Norman leads M.Bhupathi/M.Knowles 7-6 4-6 7-6 3-4

According to the blogger of Family Affairs the successful tennis players have eyes that are closer together than mere mortals. It's all about eyes. Hard to believe, but let's see.

The author writes about his prediction on Wimbledon quarter finals.

"Today Andy Murray plays JC Ferrero in the Wimbledon quarter finals. I have been wading through the pages of opinion about who is going to win Wimbledon this year and can't seem to find the answer.

"I know nothing about tennis. I find it about as interesting as watching cricket or playing Pacman BUT, I always know who is going to win. I have a scientific theory about the success rate of each tennis player and it ALWAYS works."

Then he goes on and says that applying "my theory as to who is going to win Wimbledon this year" Murray has got no chance. By the way, brilliant stuff yet again by Murray. He’s now surely all but booked his semi-final place. A fine forehand allows him to break the Ferrero serve and he leads by two sets and 3-2 in the third.

He just beat Ferrero on Center Court.
