Roger Federer remains the main favorite, that's why we said above that while Murray is marching toward the Wimbledon Semifinals, Roger is marching to the final.
"I have the opportunity to write a new page of history," said Federer, who will be ahead of Pete Sampras with 15 major titles to his name in case of victory Sunday during Wimbledon final 2009. "But I'm not there yet, and not far. There are still many, many services and numerous cuts to play."
"I would be even more confident if I had won the title here last year," says Federer, who was haunted by the long conceded defeat in the final against Rafael Nadal (9-7 in the fifth set) while being a quintuple title holder. This setback, however, now seems very far fromthe Swiss player, which has beaten eight times in a row to three times semi-finalist in the Australian Open (1999, 2002 and 2007) Tommy Haas. But "I will have to pass a better start than Paris Match," said Federer, who had been leading 7-6 7-5 4-3 by Haas in the 4th round at Roland Garros.
The Swiss master plays German Tommy Haas at Wimbledon on Friday in his 21st consecutive Wimbledon semi finals at a major championship. Murray fans still await.
