The memorial service for Michael Jackson is being held now at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the same arena where he had been rehearsing for the “This Is It” concerts billed as both a comeback and a possible farewell.
Now it will house a state funeral for the King of Pop, who died on June 25 at age 50. There are 18 000 people on the arena while another 250 000 gathered near the center.
The ceremony is being broadcast by all main TV channels of the US.
Among famous pop artists who are performing at the memorial ceremony are Steve Wonder, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson and many others. Jackson himself wished his funeral ceremony could be compared to his concerts.
