Saturday is promising to be a great day for Kavkaz Restaurant, located on Stallings Rd. in Stallings NC. The family that runs and manages the restaurant offer a special wine testing that are hard to find in our supermarkets. The wines are brought from the country of Georgia and Armenia's Ararat valley, where according to the Bible the first recorded wines are made by Noah who descended from the Mt. Ararat and made the first wines.
The Grand Opening festivities will start at 11AM and will run till 9PM this Saturday, July 11. While testing free wines, gourmet appetizers and super-great food families and individuals or can entertain their children on the small play ground that will be especially set up for this purpose. At 9PM on Saturday evening a special Discotheque will be set up for for adults. The entrance after 9PM will be $5 dollars and the females will be offered a free entrance. After 9PM the entrants must have valid ID or driver's license.
While living in Hickory, NC I have already eat at least 5-6 times in the past pre-opening month as I have traveled to Charlotte. Having eaten there for so many times I would say that Kavkaz is one of the few places in Charlotte where you can still experience home made gourmet wonders of South-East Mediterranean, Eastern European, Russian, Armenian and Georgian cuisines.
I do recommend visiting Kavkaz Restaurant this Saturday located in southern Charlotte area in NC to experience food and wine you will never forget the taste. The Ivanov family who owns the restaurant, they cook themselves. Trained and experienced in Eastern Europe, Russia and Armenia they bring rich cultural gourmet traditions of that region providing fresh dining experience for the American gourmet food lover.
