Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince tickets are selling out around the country.

What’s disappearing faster than a wizard taking off on his/her flying broomstick? Movie tickets for the 6th Harry Potter film that’s what.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince opens on Tuesday night with midnight shows all over the country. Already many showings of the film from Tuesday night through its opening weekend have sold out.

Fandango.com and Movie Tickets.com are both reporting that advance tickets for the film are out selling the advanced ticket sells for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Fandango.com is forecasting that Half-Blood Prince is on track to push Twilight (Harry Potter’s unofficial rival for the hearts of the tweeny audiences) out of the number three slot on their all-time advanced ticket sales list.

Harry Potter also represents 96% of Fandango.com’s advanced ticket sales at this time.

Movie Tickets.com is reporting that over 2,500 showings of the film are already sold out for the weekend. Half of those sold out showings are on the film’s opening day alone.

It looks as though the magic is still with Mr. Potter. This young wizard still has the power to make the Hollywood box office quake and shake. In this review, I would rate Harry at about a 9.5 on the Richter scale.
