A statement by the upper house of the Russian parliament passed in connection with the 70th anniversary of the start of the war on September 1st says history pronounced a verdict laying the blame on Nazi Germany.
The Nuremberg Tribunal qualified the actions by Nazi generals as a crime against humanity and the world community found the indictment unliable to revision. Russia qualifies the attempts to re-write historical facts as a fight for global influence.
A resolution by the parliamentary assembly of the OSCE which puts Nazism and Stalinism the same level has triggered strong condemnation from the Russian parliament, which is planning action to bring those distorting history to justice.
