This morning NY1 published the listed of the post offices that are proposed to close in New York City area, including in Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, Brooklin and Manhattan.

Across the United States, according to the source, there are 700 post offices that are proposed to be closed. This is due to money problem that the Postal offices is facing.

The Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC.gov) has yesterday released nearly 700 locations of post offices that are proposed to be closed. Most of them are in metropolitan areas. San Francisco Chronicle reports that in California alone 83 post offices are being eyed for closure.

Our attempt to visit the website of the PRC.gov was unsuccessful. Probably unusually high demand is causing the delays of the Postal Regulatory Commission's website.
