New concept, called Cash For Clunkers Voucher, has become reality as the authorities are now allowing the car traders to get a voucher documentation if your desired car is not in the lot and in the pipeline.
Yesterday CARS.gov announced the availability of the concept of Cash For Clunkers Voucher program. According to the program "NHTSA has clarified that consumers who want to purchase new vehicles not yet on dealer lots can still be eligible for the CARS program. Dealers and consumers who have reached a valid purchase and sale agreement on a vehicle already in the production pipeline will be able to work with the manufacturer to receive the documentation needed to qualify for the program."
If your read the information carefully it's not called Cash For Clunkers Voucher, but rather "documentation needed to qualify for the Cash for Clunkers program. Remember, when you apply for the program you don't need a voucher, dealers will apply a credit at purchase.
According to Ecoautoninja earlier this week week Rep. Candice Miller (R-Mich) and Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich), contacted the Secretary of Transportation, Ray LaHood, petitioning him to let people looking to take advantage of the Cash for Clunkers program, to use vouchers to order cars from manufacturers. Now the program has become a reality.
Cash for Clunkers will run untill November 1. Consumerreports.org has the list of the cars that qualify for Cash for Clunkers Voucher.
Great job and credits to the administration for giving go ahead for the Cash for Clunkers voucher program. Now people can use vouchers to buy cars from car manufacturers, when they are not in stock at the dealership.
