Mark Dacascos, from Iron Chefs of America is announced as one of the dancers of the 2009 Dancing With The Stars Show. The season 9 new cast was announced this morning during Good Morning America.
Seems that reality TV celebrities and managers are given pre-eminence in the 2009 Dancing With the Stars. One of them is Mark Dacascos, who is the chairman of Food Network's Iron Chef of America.
"Based upon the Japanese cult sensation, Iron Chef America carries on the legend of Kitchen Stadium and the famed "secret ingredient." Each week, world-class chefs battle the legendary Iron Chefs of America: Bobby Flay, Mario Batali, Masaharu Morimoto and Cat Cora. Alton Brown serves as Commentator and Mark Dacascos is Chairman," reads the About Us section of the show on Food Network.
Another reality star Kelly Osbourne is also in the 2009 Dancing With The Stars season 9 new cast. She is an English media personality, fashion designer, singer, actress, and model, best known for being the daughter of Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne.
While Mark Dacascos is more known for his role in Iron Chefs of America, he is a trained martial artist and actor. So, you can expect more from Dacascos. "He has appeared in several feature films including the internationally acclaimed French epic, "Brotherhood of the Wolf," the cult classic "Only the Strong," "Cradle to the Grave," opposite Jet Li, "Only the Brave," "Nomad" and "The Lost Medallion," which is scheduled to be released later this year," writes GMA.
