Zicam In Millionaire As Lawsuits Grow

Zicam was one of the questions today asked in Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Reggis asked with what type of side effect Zicam was linked. The right answer was loss of smell.

In June 16 of 2009 FDA warned consumers to stop using certain products from Zicam, as use of these products have been linked to anosmia, or loss of the sense of smell. According to FDA's press release about Zicam the agency has received more than "130 reports of loss of sense of smell associated with the use of these three Zicam products. In these reports, many people who experienced a loss of smell said the condition occurred with the first dose; others reported a loss of the sense of smell after multiple uses of the products."

In the meanwhile, to this date Zicam related lawsuits grow according to Attorney At Law. The story says that more Zicam related lawsuits are filed in Texas. "Since the recall was announced, several lawsuits have been filed seeking financial compensation for injuries allegedly caused by the defective Zicam Cold Remedy products," reads the story.

These are the Zicam products involved in the recall. The products involved in the recall are Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Gel, Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Swabs, and Zicam Cold Remedy Swabs, Kids Size, which is already discontinued.
