Paypal Improves Security For eBay Sellers

According to Hoy Tecnologia the new safety net program for the Spanish eBay sellers covers the potential losses from claims, chargebacks or cancellations by the purchaser in the event of unauthorized payments or items that are not received. Paypal program is not limited in amount and cover 190 countries and 19 currencies in which Paypal operates.

In addition, PayPal has expanded the program to protect the buyer covering the full purchase amount (including shipping). Thus, if an eBay buyer does not receive the item or if the item is different from what was described by the seller, Paypal recovers all the money.

"Our mission is to provide security in online transactions for sellers and buyers. Following requests from our customers and eBay users, we worked on the development of protection programs that meet both sellers and buyers. Our eBay sellers need a program to protect their sales and our buyers a program to protect the total amount of their purchases," said Marcelo Campos, director of marketing for PayPal Spain.
