Today Schilling told to NECN radio that he has got a lot on his plate. He said it is a very big commitment. While he did not want to speculate on it, Curt Schilling found it necessary to say the following to the media in terms of making a decision.
"I think for the first time in a long time, it will take the right candidate," Schilling said of a Republican beating a Democrat for the Senate seat. However, he also said that he was not contacted to run for the Senate Seat for Massachusetts.
Now the question is can a republican get Ted Kennedy's democratic seat? After all, the man put so many interested in his effort to get the health care reform passed. If Schilling decides on the issue and runs for the senate it will be a very very difficult call.
Reading online discussion I get the following thought: How would a person, who endorsed both Bush & McCain get elected in Massachusetts? It will be very interesting to see what happens. Yet, there is a very limited chance for Curt Schilling to win if Kennedy runs for the U.S. Senate seat for MA. In fact there already was a bipartisan support for Vicky Kenndy to replace Teddy.
We will keep following the developments and see what people, who support Curt Schilling's admission about time running short for making senate decision, will say in favor of his decision. Of course, if he decides to run for the senate seat.
