Since 2004, the company has worked with 96 countries. During this time Roche has fulfilled government orders of over 270 million doses of treatments.

Roche says it is committed to retaining the second half of the year the pace of sales of its antiviral, from just over 1,000 million Swiss francs (660 million euros) in the first half, so it would close 2009 with total sales above 1.3 billion dollars.

In regard to Tamiflu's swine flu resistance cases that have been reported by some consumers, he said those are isolated cases. Forbes writes that this type of Tamiflu resistance to H1N1 Swine flu is in line with what has been seen during clinical trials.
