The recent bad news for an average computer user is another invasive rogue anti-spyware program in the wild. It’s called Cyber Security, and ironically it has nothing to do with the notion its name denotes. Cyber Security is anything but a genuine antivirus, so beware of it.
Cyber Security appears to be exhibiting its evident kinship with such pseudo anti-spyware tools as Personal Antivirus, Alpha Antivirus and Total Security which refer to the same hacker “workshop” conducted to deliberately take advantage of web-surfers and contaminate their machines for further commercial benefit retrieval.
Why does one need to stay away from Cyber Security application? The most relevant answer is – this software hacks computers without the slightest sign of user’s permission. You may catch Cyber Security disease unknowingly because it often disguises itself as a multimedia codec, a spam email attachment; or it simply acts straightforward enough to intrude on a computer stealthily in the shape of a multitude of backdoor trojan downloader viruses. The further dangers of Cyber Security include overall system performance degradation and odd browser activity. Not to mention the fact that all this makes the compromised computer easily accessible from the outside. How about privacy? With Cyber Security on board, forget about preserving any confidential data intact on your PC.
When on your workstation, Cyber Security initiates some System Registry mutations and hence provokes scattershot system activity. This will be exhibited via numerous popup ads which literally flood the hacked desktop and overwhelm the user with deceptive information about alleged malware threats found. The confusing effect of these fake alerts will be enhanced by Cyber Security brainwashing scanners that run upon system startup and also reveal the exposure of yet more computer parasites. One should bear in mind that any and all detections made by Cyber Security on your computer are a fake so they should under no circumstances become a stimulus for the user to install the software those false ads suggest. Through the fake alarming activity, Cyber Security is simply trying to scare the victim and get him/her purchasing its own license to supposedly protect one’s cyber environment.
Uninstalling Cyber Security is a matter of significant importance and is not an easy objective to accomplish. First of all, Cyber Security is either not listed on the Control Panel’s Remove Programs GUI; or it is there but allows no transactions directed towards Cyber Security elimination. Moreover, Cyber Security is known to be capable of blocking the Task Manager and impeding the user from running executables including some legit antivirus software. Cyber Security extermination is feasible if the user has sufficient troubleshooting skills to perform some System Registry entries deletion; another applicable way to lose Cyber Security parasite is to launch a professional and, what’s determinative, genuine antivirus tool.
Last but not least…We couldn’t possibly leave the above issue unattended for one more reason. The cyber scammers have got so cynically insolent that they named their new malicious offspring “Cyber Security” at the beginning of the National Cyber Security Awareness month, which is this October. This sure doesn’t sound like an incredible coincidence, does it?
