T-Mobile's Project Dark unlimited affordable cell phone plans rumors are just in time ahead of Walmart's Straight Talk that will kick off this Sunday nationwide.

The internet is abuzz with rumors that T-Mobile is going to soon release an unlimited and affordable cell phone plan called Project Dark. This news comes on the backdrop of Walmart's Straight Talk no-contract cell phone plans that will be offered nationwide starting this Sunday.

According to Boy Genius Report T-Mobile will soon release Most Affordable Unlimited Rate Plans, which will come in three tiers with unlimited options. Those unlimited options are nlimited voice, unlimited voice and text, and unlimited voice/text/data and those are all priced at $40, $50 and $60, respectively.

T-Mobile is so far quiet about the rumor of Project Dark unlimited and most affordable cell phone plans. The latest information it has released on its Press section is from October 7 and tells about T-Mobile's "holiday handsets including broadest selection of android-powered devices." As the company unveiled its holiday lineup of impressive 3G-enabled devices at this time it's not known if the Project Dark cell phone plans are part of it.

Could the T-Mobile rumor about a plan that directly will compete Walmart's Straight Talk plans be intensified at this point because the giant retailer starts its plan this week? It is not known at this time. However, we have seen in the past this type of competition between Sprint announcing Palm Pre and Apple leaking a new generation iPhone release date.

At this time not many answers are known. However, there is good news for the consumer. New and affordable cell phone plans are in the horizon. Walmart starts this week its Straight Talk with no-contract and unlimited plans at 45 dollars and 1000 minute nationwide at 35 dollars. The talk of T-Mobile's Project Dark rumor is already making headway throughout the internet. We expect the other cell phone plan providers will jump on this competition and lower their prices during this upcoming shopping season to keep their market share. Perhaps it is worth calling your cell phone provider and asking what they plan to do to keep you as a customer from going to Walmart and buying a no-contract cell phone plan for a lesser price.
