The Revelations of New Jersey's 2009 Exit Polls

The exit polls of the 2009 New Jersey race showed some very revealing picture of what issues concern the New Jersey voters the most. The initial results show that property taxes and the economy top the voter concernt in NJ.

The candidates for the New Jersey governor's race are Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine, independent Chris Daggett, and Republican Christopher Christie. However, the initial exit poll results show that these candidates may not be able to neither lower the property taxes or fix the state economy. This is according to the National Election Pool conducted by Edison Research.

According to NJ.com "regardless of how people voted, the exit poll asked which candidate had the best property tax plan. But the majority of people chose "none" over Gov. Jon Corzine, Republican Chris Christie and independent Chris Daggett, according to the Edison Research exit poll."

Majority of the voters interviewed at the exit polls said that the economy and jobs are their top concerns. Second came the issue of the property taxes.

The third came corruption. Health was only the fourth, despite the flu season and all the buzz around it.

Some have suggested that these elections may be test for the Obama administration the measure the level of the public support for the Democratic Administration. However, Democrats say that these elections are elections, but not a referendum whether the president Obama is doing a good or a bad job.

Edison Research's national election poll also shows that the voters remain worried about the state of the economy and job growth.
