Everything is coming up roses for the Bishops until 11-year-old Toby (Chloe Moretz) is kidnapped from soccer practice.
Jack and his wife Amaya (Paz Vega) are patient at first as the police and FBI start their investigation. However, when the search turns up few leads, Jack decides to take matters into his own hands.
Oh, yeah, did I forget to tell you that Jack used to be a cartel hitman just across the border in Mexico. Oops.
Uh-huh. Daddy tracks down some of his suspicions south of the border. When his first wife, (Toby’s mom) who runs a brothel and drug business in a dive town, comes up short of answers, Jack realizes he might be in over his head.
Meanwhile, Amaya also proves to be an active Satanist with her own ways of searching for her step daughter.
“Not Forgotten” is a straight-to-DVD B-movie thriller releasing Nov. 3 that might not be of the same caliber as other kidnap films such as “Taken,” but it does feature an A-list cast. Baker stars on TV as “The Mentalist” and “The Guardian.” His films include hits such as “The Devil Wears Prada” and “L.A. Confidential.”
Paz Vega is a Spanish film star who has already broken into American films with a leading role in films such as Adam Sandler’s “Spanglish” and the indie hit co-starring Morgan Freeman called “10 Items or Less.”
Not as violent as “Taken,” Jack still delivers a wicked beatdown. There’s just enough action for fans of action movies. There is suspense and mystery for those types of fans. And there is plenty about Satanism and La Santa Muerte for fans of the occult. Clearly, “Not Forgotten” has a little something for everyone.
