Best Buy Says Dress Appropriately For Black Friday

Ahead of the Black Friday doorbuster deals and the 2009 shopping season Best Buy cautions its potential customers to dress up appropriately, arrive early and to do some research. Best Buy also says carpool, be patient and have fun. For online shoppers, the retailer currently offers free shipping on some items, but apparently one may need a promotional code to get free shipping.

Best Buy has published it's Black Friday shopping tips helping consumers to get the most from the 2009 season. Some tips in this list may not apply to the Best Buy stores that are located in the southern parts of the United States and particularly in Florida and Hawaii. The company says following these tips may help the consumers to have a successful and fun shopping experience tomorrow.

Dress Appropriately. Lines form outside, so dress warmly in cold climates. Think long johns, wool socks and toasty hand warmers.

Arrive early if you want Best Buy Black Friday Doorbuster specials. Some people eat Thanksgiving dinner and start lining up as early as Thursday afternoon!

Like Santa, make a list of what you want. Know what you want to buy (brand, model, color) and let our experts help you find all the right accessories to make it the perfect holiday gift.

Do your research, be prepared and plan ahead. You may want to visit the store in advance to become familiar with the layout in order to know where everything is.

In the meanwhile Walmart is is cooperating with the Police department to set up, what is termed as "crow's nest" (see the image of this story) to monitor the safety on Black Friday morning as customers line up for the doorbuster 2009 deals. There will be a “crow’s nest” in Walmart parking lots where a worker can monitor crowds from above, staff dedicated to crowd management, and barriers with safety zones.
