Schools today will be closed earlier in Catawba County and Burk county. These two counties in North Carolina today got their first snow.
Jenkins Elementary in Hickory, Catawba County has called the parents ans asked to pick up the children at 11AM.
Catawba County Schools will close at 10:00 AM today.

Due to inclement weather, Burke County Public Schools will be closing at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 18, 2009.
Currently it is snowing in Hickory, but the snow does not stay. It looks like raining. The situation differs in Morganton in the Burk County where the schools and the residents have started to prepare for today's snow since yesterday.
