The Earth is about to roll to a theoretical stop and back again toward the Sun. It's the winter solstice. It has been doing so since the Earth cooled, one or two years before religion took hold on our cultures.
The Davidic religions have tried to stomp out the observance of The Solstice for millennia for being witchcraft and every other evil, and unclean thing. They even borrowed a few ritual from some other religions and piled it on to create Christmas to try and trick newer generations into converting to Christianity, shaming youngsters away from their parents Pagan past.
However, with or without the nativity, the Solstice clicks by.
Days get longer. Spring can not be far behind. This is a truth. It is unchanging. And it is an observance that even the Illuminata can observe, toast and enjoy.
