Walmart is beefing up its online shopping by appealing to millions of American families and offering to ship diapers for only 97 cents.
Walmart, while being the number one retailer in the United States has not been shining as an online shopping destination, but now it is changing.
Children can use diapers for about three four years from the time they are born. Walmart has realized that tens of millions of families across the country use diapers and offers to Save big on diaper brands like Huggies and Pampers with 97 cents shipping charge.
Currently on Walmart's website only infant and child diapers are being advertised for the 97 cent shipment. Diapers used for the elderly seem not to be part of the promotion.
"Walmart offer is a great move. I wish I had this service when I had my babies. The 97 cent shipment is fantastic, especially in the winter," says Cheryl Phillips (@thedailyblonde), a social media observer from Rhode Island. Indeed, the move is great particularly in the winter. During this cold weather it will be hard for many parents to take our infant babies out for a diaper shopping.
To clear any misunderstanding it is worth noting that one still needs to pay for the cost of the diaper, it is only the shipment that is 97. Still it's a great deal. Parents could spend more than 97 cents to get to Walmart. True they may do more shopping, but that same amount of shopping can be done online too.
For now, on Walmart's site one can find 96 types of infant and child diaper products that are eligible for the 97 cents shipment.
