Thankfully none of the 133 passengers were injured when today Air Berlin flight skidded off the runway in Nuremberg Airport in Germany. The airport reopened in early hours after the incident.
Europe is frozen. Hundreds of flights are canceled throughout Germany. The extreme cold weather has steered some chaos throughout the continent.
Airlines ask the passengers to come to airports earlier to give enough time for safe check-ins. Please check the airline and airport websites for additional details.
The situation creates additional difficulties for passengers who have earlier booked all inclusive or vacation packages. Air Berlin informs that "Passengers, who have booked an all-inclusive package holiday should please contact their applicable travel agents or tour operators with regard to re-booking or cancellation possibilities."
